A technically gifted midfielder who can also operate out wide, Marcelo was a standout performer for our youth sides last season, scoring 14 times from 23 starts, including four in Premier League 2.
He has already made an impression on the international stage with the senior Mexico national team (despite being born in Canada), after making his debut against Chile in December 2021.
A creator as well as a scorer of goals, Marcelo joined our academy from Ipswich aged 15, and is spending the season on loan at Real Oviedo in the Spanish Segunda Division.
